The film Shaitaan, directed by Vikas Bahl and starring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Jyothika, and Janki Bodiwala, is poised to join the coveted Rs 100 crore club in India on its 10th day of release.

With a stellar performance at the box office, the movie has emerged as a smash hit.

On its 2nd Saturday at the Indian box office, Shaitaan witnessed a remarkable 75% surge in collections compared to the previous day, netting around Rs 8.75 crores. This brings the cumulative earnings of the film over nine days to Rs 94.25 crores. The movie is expected to effortlessly surpass the Rs 100 crore mark on its 10th day and aims to target the Rs 150 crore club.

Shaitaan continued to dominate the Indian box office for the second consecutive week, facing competition from films like Yodha and Kung Fu Panda 4 but maintaining its stronghold. While the movie has performed exceptionally well in India, its international performance has been moderate.

Ajay Devgn's supernatural thriller is projected to cross the $3 million mark internationally on its 10th day, with further earnings likely to reach around $500k. Despite its relatively smaller international footprint, the global earnings are estimated to reach approximately Rs 210 crores.

As of now, Shaitaan ranks as the fifth highest-grossing Indian film worldwide in 2024, trailing behind Fighter, Hanuman, Manjummel Boys, and Guntur Kaaram. It is anticipated to surpass Guntur Kaaram and Manjummel Boys, securing a higher position on the list.

The film was already profitable before its release, and with additional theatrical earnings of Rs 90 crores worldwide, Ajay Devgn is poised to garner a profit of around Rs 100 crores.

Shaitaan has shown consistent growth in its day-wise net India collections since its release.

On the first day, it earned Rs 15 crore, followed by Rs 19 crore on the second day and Rs 20.50 crore on the third day. The collections dipped slightly on the fourth day to Rs 7.50 crores, and further to Rs 6.50 crores on the fifth day.

Days six and seven saw earnings of Rs 6.25 crores and Rs 5.75 crores, respectively, with a slight decline to Rs 5 crores on the eighth day.

However, the film bounced back on the ninth day, netting Rs 8.75 crores. In total, Shaitaan accumulated Rs 94.25 crores over the course of nine days, indicating strong and consistent performance at the Indian box office.

The film presents a timeless narrative of the battle between good and evil, with a family embodying righteousness and a man representing malevolence. Ajay Devgn portrays the character of Kabir, while R Madhavan plays the role of Vanraj. The film explores the consequences faced by Kabir's family when Vanraj gains control over his daughter.
