SRK Mohanlal

The internet was set abuzz when the king of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan found himself starstruck by Malayalam cinema legend Mohanlal's dance performance to the song 'Zinda Banda' from SRK's film 'Jawan' at an awards show.

The subsequent exchange of praises and gratitude between the two stars quickly went viral on X, capturing the hearts of fans worldwide.

After expressing his gratitude to Mohanlal for making the song special for him, SRK extended an invitation for dinner. Mohanlal, known for his culinary skills, responded by suggesting breakfast as well. SRK, taking the initiative, proposed, “Done sir. Your place or mine?” Mohanlal eagerly accepted, saying, “Would love to host you at mine.”

Fans couldn't contain their excitement at the prospect of these two cinema icons bonding and potentially collaborating.

One enthusiastic fan commented, “And hope you both sign a movie together as well.”

Another echoed the sentiment with, “Two kings together finally," accompanied by heart-eye and fire emojis.

Mohanlal's fans from Kerala eagerly await the meeting, with one stating, “Lalettan has spoken, and Kerala is waiting to welcome the King of Bollywood.”

The playful exchange began when a fan page posted a video of Mohanlal dancing to 'Zinda Banda' at an award ceremony in Kochi. Sharing the video, SRK penned, “Thank you, Mohanlal sir, for making this song the most special for me now. Wish I had done it half as good as you. Love you sir and waiting for dinner at home as and when. You are the OG Zinda Banda.”

In response, Mohanlal graciously replied, “Dear Shah Rukh Khan, nobody can do it like you! You are and always will be the OG Zinda Banda in your classic, inimitable style. Thanks for your kind words. Also, just dinner? Why not groove to some Zinda Banda over breakfast, too?” This friendly banter led to the dinner plans.

'Jawan', helmed by director Atlee, stands as one of Bollywood's significant hits, featuring stars like Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone. The film marked one of SRK's triumphant returns to the silver screen in 2023. On the other hand, Mohanlal began the year with 'Neru', a film that garnered both critical acclaim and commercial success.
