text_fieldsBollywood is abuzz with excitement as details about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's highly anticipated film Love & War continue to emerge.
The film, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, is slated for a Christmas 2025 release.
According to a recent report by Pinkvilla, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, who last shared the screen in the 2018 hit Sanju, are set to begin shooting in the first week of October.
A source close to the production revealed that Bhansali will kick off the filming with some individual scenes featuring Ranbir Kapoor, before moving on to the friendship sequences between Ranbir and Vicky. "Sanjay Leela Bhansali has meticulously planned the shooting schedule, keeping in mind the availability of his star-studded cast," the source shared.
Alia Bhatt, who stars opposite Ranbir, is expected to join the Love & War team in December or early January. "Alia has dedicated a significant block of her time to Yash Raj Films for the spy thriller Alpha. She’ll begin work on Love & War once she wraps up Alpha, likely by the end of November or early December," the source added.
The film's narrative is structured around the relationships between the three main characters, with each pairing bringing a different dynamic to the story.
The breakdown includes Ranbir’s action sequences, the friendship between Ranbir and Vicky, the romance between Vicky and Alia, and the dramatic interplay between Ranbir and Alia. The story culminates in a conflict involving all three characters.
Both Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal have reportedly committed 200 days to the filming of Love & War. During this period, the Raazi co-stars will not take on any new projects, allowing Bhansali to complete his epic love story by the third quarter of 2025.
Love & War marks Ranbir Kapoor's second collaboration with Bhansali after his debut in the 2007 film Saawariya. Alia Bhatt previously worked with the acclaimed director in the 2022 hit Gangubai Kathiawadi, while Vicky Kaushal is teaming up with Bhansali Productions for the first time.
