Nayanthara reflects on 9 years of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, says it's the film that changed her life

The film, co-starring Vijay Sethupathi and directed by Nayanthara's husband, Vignesh Shivan, was released on October 21, 2015, and has since become a cherished part of the actress's career and personal life.
In celebration of the milestone, Nayanthara posted a video montage featuring behind-the-scenes photos from the movie, including shots of her alongside Vijay Sethupathi, and even a glimpse of Vignesh Shivan. The movie set the stage for Nayanthara and Vignesh’s love story, and in her emotional note, she expressed how the film "blessed her life" and "changed it forever."
She wrote, "A film that came to bless my life and change it forever. 9 years ago on this day, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan was released. Forever grateful to it for giving me new love from people, new lessons as a performer, new experiences, new core memories, and new relationships."
Nayanthara also credited Vignesh Shivan for introducing her to the project and, ultimately, to him. She added, “And of course, I have to thank my man Vignesh Shivan for giving me NRD, which gave me him.
