Mohanlal, Jeethu Joseph to team up for new movie, not a Drishyam sequel

Kochi: Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and filmmaker Jeethu Joseph have teamed up for an upcoming movie, the makers said on Thursday.
The project, backed by the Malayalam superstar production banner Aashirvad Cinemas, is the fifth movie to be made by Jeethu Joseph collaborating with Mohanlal.
The production of the untitled movie will start in August, the studio said in a tweet.
Mohanlal and Joseph previously worked together for two critically acclaimed “Drishyam” movies as well as the 2022 film “12th Man”.
Their fourth project, an action thriller movie ‘Ram’ is currently under production.
The details of the new movie’s plot have been kept under wraps and it is revealed that it will not be a sequel of the Drishyam series.
Mohanlal’s upcoming projects include his directorial debut “Barroz”, Lijo Jose Pellissery’s “Malaikottai Vaaliban”, Rajinikanth-led “Jailer” and a multilingual movie “Vrushabha”.
