Mumbai: Former Miss World and actress Manushi Chhillar is all set to make her debut on the red carpet of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2023.

The 76th edition will be held from May 16 to May 27 in France. Manushi will be joining actress Anushka Sharma at the prestigious celebration.

Several Bollywood personalities such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Sharmila Tagore, and Deepika Padukone, among others, have been part of the jury for the French festival.

Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat, Pooja Hegde, Hina Khan, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Aditi Rao Hydari have also walked the red carpet.

Manushi rose to fame at the age of 21, after bringing the crown back to India after 17 years. During her reign as Miss World, Manushi was lauded for her work and efforts for the welfare of women.

She also won the Beauty With A Purpose Award for her work towards her project, Shakti, which aimed to work towards period poverty. During the pandemic, the actress had joined hands with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to raise awareness about the novel coronavirus.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Manushi will be seen in 'Tehran' next to John Abraham and 'Operation Valentine' with Varun Tej, among many others.

Manushi was last seen in Samrat Prithviraj alongside Akshay Kumar which tanked miserably at the box office.
