Actor Trisha Krishnan has drawn widespread attention after attending actor-turned-politician Vijay’s oath-taking ceremony as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Sunday. A day after the swearing-in event, Trisha shared her first social media post from the ceremony, with the caption quickly becoming a talking point amid ongoing speculation surrounding her relationship with Vijay.

Taking to Instagram, Trisha shared pictures from the ceremony and wrote, “The love is always louder.” The caption immediately triggered reactions from fans online, with many linking it to long-standing rumours surrounding the two actors.

Trisha attended the ceremony along with her mother, Uma Krishnan, and was seen seated with Vijay’s parents during the event. She wore a sea blue-green and gold traditional saree paired with a cream blouse featuring golden embroidery. She completed the look with a neatly tied bun adorned with jasmine flowers and statement ruby jewellery.

Several videos and photographs from the swearing-in ceremony have since gone viral on social media. One moment in particular attracted significant attention, with Trisha appearing emotional during Vijay’s public address after taking oath. She was seen smiling through tears as the crowd applauded his speech outlining future plans for Tamil Nadu.

Another widely shared image from the event showed Trisha warmly hugging Vijay’s mother, Shoba. A few hours after the ceremony, Trisha also posted an Instagram story featuring the phrase “IYKYK” alongside a cartoon graphic containing “blah blah blah” dialogue bubbles, further fuelling online speculation.

With his final film Jana Nayagan expected to release later this month, Vijay has now entered politics full-time. In the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), secured 108 seats in the 234-member Assembly.

Meanwhile, Trisha will next be seen in Karuppu alongside Suriya, as well as in the Telugu historical drama Vishwambhara.

Vijay and Trisha have worked together in several successful films, including Leo, Ghilli, Thirupaachi and Kuruvi. Rumours linking the two have surfaced intermittently over the years, but speculation intensified after reports emerged in 2025 that Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha, had filed for divorce after 26 years of marriage, allegedly citing his relationship with another actress. Vijay’s wife and their two children were absent from Sunday’s oath-taking ceremony.

Days after the divorce reports surfaced, Vijay and Trisha were seen attending a wedding reception together in Chennai. Trisha was also spotted at Vijay’s residence on the day Tamil Nadu election results were announced, which also coincided with her birthday.
