Kumar Sanu's daughter Shannon appear's at Cannes wearing Ukraine made piece

Mumbai: Daughter of veteran playback singer Kumar Sanu, Shannon K made her Cannes debut wearing a beautifully sewn piece by Ukrainian designers Blanc de Blancs and Lana Marinenko to represent Ukraine suffering from the war.

She was the only Indian, other than Aishwarya Rai, who was invited to the premiere of 'Indiana Jones & The Dial of Desitiny'.

Talking about the same, she said: "It feels incredible, but honestly, I was super nervous to walk the Cannes red carpet! So happy to be invited to the legendary Harrison Ford's movie Premiere. It feels surreal that I was posing at the same time as Mr Ford was on the carpet! You know those moments you cannot put into words but are extremely special for you? This was one of them."

She also wore a Diamond tiara to represent Indian Goddesses as the power of women.

The Cannes exclusively invited Shannon for the screening of Indiana Jones's latest instalment. The movie is all set to release in Cinemas worldwide on June 30.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan opened the India Pavilion on Wednesday. Actors Mrinal Thakur, Sara Ali Khan and Aishwarya Rai were other attendees of the prestigious film festival from India.

Mrinal appeared in a hooded outfit designed by Anamika Khanna. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her first appearance at Cannes Film Festival 2023, and her outfit sparked a meme fest. Some even said that the former Miss World is hiding her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan in the dress. Sara Ali Khan's speech at the festival is being called powerful and well-spoken. She highlighted Indian culture, cinema, and art. The young actress is known for her candid statements and ability to articulate in her interviews.
