A lot can happen over a cup of coffee and who would know it better than Koffee With Karan host Karan Johar? The good news for the Bollywood entertainment and gossip geeks is that the filmmaker and his team are all geared up to start shooting for the new season of Koffee with Karan.

As per reports, newly weds Alia and Ranbir are expected to make their first appearance after marriage in the show. Incidentally, it was on this show that Alia mentioned she'd like to marry Ranbir Kapoor during the show's famous rapid fire question on 'Who will you kill, marry, or hook-up with?'.

Karan is currently shooting for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and it's in May when he will wrap up a major chunk of the film. One calling it a schedule wrap, Karan will commence his work on his chat show, Koffee with Karan. The planning and pre-production has already begun and the team is now all ready to start shooting from mid-May," revealed a source close to the development. The show is expected to go on air from the month of June on Star Network.

The seventh season of the show is expected to be a star-studded one with other Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Sidharth Malhotra, Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif and Siddhant Chaturvedi making their appearances.

Since it first aired in 2004, Koffee With Karan has been one of the most successful and controversial shows on Indian television. Right from celebrities gossiping to making controversial statements, Karan Johar's show has consistently gained eyeballs. While the sixth season (2019) was said to be the last one, Pinkvilla reported that the show will return with a fresh season.
