CHENNAI: Kamal Haasan, actor and chief of Makkal Needhi Maiam has confirmed that he will 'contest in next election' of Tamil Nadu. He made this statement in Chennai while attending a press meeting on the success of his latest movie 'Vikram'.

The actor added that Makkal Needhi Maiam, his party has "grown well", as it has completed five years since inception. According to the the veteran actor, "There is no break with MNM party side. It will continue in its side." He reiterated that he was willing to contest in the next elections also.

While talking about him working with actor Rajnikanth, Haasan asserted, "I am ready always to act with Rajinikanth. On the part of the direction, it's should be discussed with Lokesh and Rajinikanth and then let you all know."

Meanwhile, his latest movie 'Vikram' has received widespred acclaim having an IMDB rating of 9 out of 10. The movie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is an action-thriller which also features Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in leading roles, according to the New Indian Express.

Shivani Narayanan, Kalidas Jayaram, Narain, Antony Varghese and Arjun Das also star in the film in supporting roles. Vikram hit the screens on June 3, this year.
