IGTV will no longer be supported by Instagram

Since Meta-owned Instagram wants to make video discovery and creation as simple as possible, the Instagram app for IGTV is no longer available as a standalone app.

According to the company, all video will now be available within the Instagram app.

"We believe that this makes it easier for people to have all of these features and abilities in the main app, and are excited to continue to simplify and improve video in the main Instagram app over the coming months," Said company

Besides reels, the company said it is looking forward to investing even more in this rapidly growing format.

As more people watch reels to be entertained, go deeper with their interests, or discover new creators, reels continue to be the largest contributors to engagement growth on Instagram.

"Over the coming months, you will see us continue to invest in simplifying our video formats, making it even easier to create and watch video on Instagram -- the way you already do with Reels," the company said
