Hunt for Pushpa begins: Makers release intriguing video on sequel

Hyderabad: 'Pushpa - The Rise' was the first blockbuster that brought audiences back to theatres in 2021, post- covid.

Two years later, the production house has released a video clip leaving netizens buzzing with the curious question: Where is Pushpa?

The cryptic video narrates that Pushpa escaped from jail in Tirupati, and is now untraceable.

The makers Mytri Movies, have promised fans an answer to this question: where is Pushpa, with a unique concept video "The Hunt for Pushpa" to be released on the eve of Icon Star Allu Arjun's Birthday.

Part 1 of the franchise, Pushpa-The Rise revolves around a labourer Pushpa who makes enemies as he rises in the world of red sandalwood smuggling. However, violence erupts when the police attempt to bring down his illegal business.

The movie was commercially successful, grossing nearly 373 crores at the box office. The film emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film in 2021 and ranks among the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time.

Allu Arjun recently completed two decades in the film industry. The actor took to Twitter to share a thank you note to his fans captioning it with a joined hands emoji.

"Today, I complete 20 years in the film industry. I am extremely blessed & have been showered with love. I am grateful to all my people from the industry. I am what I am bcoz of the love of the audience, admirers and fans. Gratitude forever."

Arjun, who is one of the highest paid actors in India, made his debut with Gangotri in 2003. He rose to prominence starring in Sukumar's cult classic Arya in 2004.
