Renowned director Anil Sharma, along with the team, has initiated the production of "Gadar 3" after Zee Studios approved the project.

Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma are set to reprise their roles in the sequel to the blockbuster "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha."

In 2001, the collaboration between Sunny Deol and Anil Sharma resulted in the groundbreaking success of "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha." The film surpassed the long-standing box office record of "Hum Aapke Hai Kaun" and became an all-time grosser. The action-packed film set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pak partition holds the record for the highest footfalls in the millennium.

Now, 22 years later, the team is gearing up for the third installment with "Gadar 3."

After the success of "Gadar 2," released during the Independence Day weekend in 2023, Zee Studios has officially given the green light for "Gadar 3." According to sources, the initial paperwork has been completed between Zee Studios, Anil Sharma, and Sunny Deol.

The source revealed, "Gadar 2 ended with a promise of Gadar 3, and that wasn’t an announcement made for the sake of grabbing eyeballs.

Ever since the release of the film, Anil Sharma and his team of writers have been brainstorming ideas for the third part of Gadar, and they have finally locked in the basic idea for the threequel. Much like the world of the franchise, this one too will be set against the backdrop of Indo-Pak conflict; however, the stakes this time will be higher than ever before."
