The makers of Kamal Haasan starrer 'Indian 2' have run into yet another series of issues with the producers opting to take legal action against director Shankar, citing massive delays in the making of the film.

According to The News Minute, the case was filed on April 1 and has been adjourned to April 28 with the Madras High Court directing the involved parties to settle the dispute amicably. Lyca Productions had requested a directive to be issued to stop Shankar from working on other films until 'Indian 2' was completed.

Shankar's announcement of a remake of Vikram's 2005 superhit 'Anniyan' in Hindi starring Ranveer Singh has also been challenged in court by Ascar Productions who have claimed sole rights to the film.

'Indian 2' is a sequel to Shankar's 'Indian' which released in 1992. Following an accident on set in February of last year which killed two workers, the film ran into more issues after the pandemic set in and Kamal Haasan failed to re-join sets as he was contesting Tamil Nadu assembly elections. Certain portions of the film are also being red-hot and removed due to the death of actor Vivekh who passed away this month.

Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Nedumudi Venu and Delhi Ganesh are part of the cast while Aniruddh Ravichander helms the music direction.
