Putting an end to all rumours, Actress Emma Stone has denied reports of featuring in the upcoming film Spider-Man: No Way Home, directed by Jon Watts.

"I have heard those rumours. I don't know if I'm supposed to say anything, but I'm not. I don't know what you're supposed to respond as an alumnus," Stone responded as reported by MTV News.

Emma had played Gwen Stacy in the 2012 film The Amazing Spider-Man and its 2014 sequel.

Garfield, who starred as the superhero in two movies — The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) also shut down claims of his own return to the film series, saying that fans should "chill" as he "ain't got a call".

The Marvel Studio and Sony Pictures project will be Tom Holland's third outing as the web-slinger.

The film which is intended to be the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) will see Parker being recruited by Nick Fury and Mysterio to face the Elementals while he is on a school trip to Europe.

Also starring Zendaya and Jacob Batalon and another ensemble cast, No Way Home is slated to be released on 16th December 2021.
