Emily Blunt to star in The Fall Guy with Ryan Gosling and David Leitch
text_fieldsLos Angeles: Actress Emily Blunt has joined the cast of the feature film The Fall Guy which already was drawing attention for roping in Ryan Gosling and David Leitch as director.
The film is an adaptation of the ABC TV series that was originally broadcasted from 1981 to 1986. The plot revolves around a Hollywood stuntman who moonlights as a bounty hunter.
Drew Pearce, who worked with Leitch on Universal's Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, wrote the script and serves as executive producer for the 2024 feature film. Gosling is also set to produce the project which will begin shooting in Australia this fall, reported Deadline.
Emily Blunt has already established herself as a good fit for action-heavy roles in films like Edge of Tomorrow and A Quiet Place. Fans never know what to expect from the actress but they always know she is not likely to disappoint.
While Ryan Gosling is taking the role of leading stuntman Colt Seavers (played by Lee Majors in the 1980s series), Blunt is bringing back Heather Thomas' Jody Banks, a stuntwoman. The 39-year-old actress will be next seen playing Katherine Oppenheimer, a German-American biologist, in Christopher Nolan's biographical film Oppenheimer.
