Dua Lipa thanks fans, shares glimpses from Mumbai concert
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Pop sensation Dua Lipa, after delivering a memorable performance at the Zomato Feeding India Concert in Mumbai, expressed gratitude to her fans on Sunday. The concert marked the second edition of the event and showcased the Grammy-winning artist’s talent and charisma.
The highlight of the Saturday night gig was Dua Lipa’s surprise performance of a viral mash-up of her chart-topping single "Levitating" and the Bollywood classic "Wo Ladki Jo" from the 1999 film Baadshah, starring Shah Rukh Khan. Videos circulating on social media captured the singer grooving to the mash-up, which gained popularity online due to the similar beat patterns of the two songs.
On her official Instagram account, the 29-year-old singer shared a series of pictures and videos, including moments from her hotel stay and soundcheck sessions in Mumbai. “Thank you Mumbai! Off to our next and FINAL stop of the Asia run… SEOUL,” she wrote in the caption.
Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, actor Suhana Khan, also shared a reel of Dua’s Saturday night performance on her Instagram Story, expressing her admiration with a series of emojis.
Wo Ladki Jo, sung by Abhijeet and composed by Anu Malik, was a chartbuster from Abbas-Mustan's hit film Baadshah, while Levitating is one of the standout tracks from Dua’s 2020 album Future Nostalgia.
This marks Dua Lipa’s second concert in India, following her 2019 performance at the OnePlus Music Festival in Navi Mumbai. The artist also met Shah Rukh Khan during that visit. Beyond her professional appearances, Dua has taken personal trips to India, including a visit in December 2023, where she explored Rajasthan and Delhi.
The Mumbai performance was a fitting tribute to her growing connection with Indian fans, further cementing her global appeal.
