Bachchan family supports Abhishek's kabaddi team, actor shares past struggles

The Bachchan family united in support of the Jaipur Pink Panthers, owned by Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, during a Pro Kabaddi League match.
In attendance were Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, and Abhishek Bachchan.
A video shared by Star Sports' official X page captured the family enthusiastically cheering for the team, celebrating their victory in the match held in Mumbai.
The official tweet from Star Sports read, “Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were all in attendance to watch the #JaipurPinkPanthers win their 1st game of the Mumbai leg!”
Abhishek Bachchan recently shared insights into the challenging times faced by the Bachchan family years ago. In a Galatta Plus roundtable discussion, he revealed how he left college to support his father, Amitabh Bachchan, during a financially difficult phase. He recalled working as a production assistant for Gautam Berry, even performing tasks like making tea on the sets.
Reflecting on their financial crisis, Abhishek mentioned the struggles of planning for events like Filmfare Awards, emphasising the scarcity of resources, "Filmfare, 20 years ago, you planned like months in advance ki kya pehen ke jayenge [what you will wear]. Make sure you aren't shooting that day…Khareedna padta tha, un dino me koi deta nahi tha kapde [One had to purchase, and no one sent clothes those days.]."
During that period, Abhishek faced a dilemma about attire for such events due to limited clothing options, and eventually, he wore a sherwani tailored for his sister's wedding as he couldn’t afford new clothes.
Separately, Aishwarya Rai also recently shared heartfelt throwback pictures of her late parents, Krishnaraj Rai and Brindya Rai, on their wedding anniversary, expressing her eternal love and blessings for them.
The bond between Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan has been enduring since their marriage in 2007. They welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, into the family in 2011.
