Ayushmann Khurrana to tour the US in July, says he dwells heavily on nostalgia
text_fieldsMumbai: Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana is known for the niche he has carved for himself in the film industry. But fans are also all too aware of his skills as a musician.
He has already made several memorable songs for his films and albums. The 38-year-old seems to be focusing more on music lately as his band 'Ayushmann Bhava' recently did a tour in Chandigarh and Dubai. Needless to say, they were big hits. Now, he is all set to tour the US in July and August.
He will be performing in Dallas, San Jose, Seattle, Washington DC, New Jersey, Atlanta, Orlando, and Chicago. He will also be performing in Toronto, Canada. This is his second US tour.
Speaking to Pinkvilla, he said live concerts have a connection to his school and college days and the experience of live singing is very different. "I used to have a band in college and the experience of live singing is very different." He added that music is an intrinsic part of him because he can live without watching films but have to listen to music every day.
About the upcoming US tour, he said the team intends to give the audience the best time of their lives and the team is working hard to ensure a memorable experience. "Our Aim is always to give the audience the best time of their lives. We make it a point to give our best."
The actor-singer is planning to do a mix of his songs with retro Bollywood songs. Rock versions of Govinda songs are going to be the USP of the concert. "We dwell heavily on nostalgia. It’s very contemporary but filmy."
"My songs are soft rock and melodious. But when we want to make the audience dance, we step into retro and 90s Bollywood. There are so many amazing Shammi Kapoor songs too. It’s very unique," he added. Ayushmann said his concert is very unique because the song genre is not limited to one and there is something for everyone.
When asked which song gets the best reaction from the audience, he said it is 'Pani Da Rang'.
