Alia Bhatt starrer Netflix movie Darlings has already created a buzz with its teaser. Now, the actress' husband, Ranbir Kapoor has vouched for Alia's first production venture.

He said Darlings is an amazing film. "Like how everyone expects Alia Bhatt films to be, it is at that level." Kapoor added that he has already watched the movie.

The actor was talking at the promotional event of his film Shamshera. When asked if he has seen the teaser of Darlings, he replied he has seen not only the teaser but also the film. The doting husband urged everyone to watch Darlings when it releases on Netflix.

Darlings is produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's Red Chillies' Entertainment and Alia Bhatt's Eternal Sunshine Productions. Directed by debutante Jasmeet K Reen, it stars Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew along with Alia in lead roles.

The teaser established the movie to be a dark comedy and hinted that the plot has something to do with a person's nature that cannot be changed. The teaser's voiceover narrated the famous fable of a scorpion asking a frog to help it cross the river.

The mother-daughter duo played by Shefali Shah and Alia Bhatt also indicated that they are under suspicion of having committed murder. Bhatt's character is seen innocently claiming to a police officer that they only killed the victim in their imagination.

In the new poster, the duo was seen staring at Vijay Varma who is tied to a chair and has a cloth stuffed in his mouth. Earlier posters show that Varma's character is in some trouble. In the latest one, Alia is also seen holding a syringe.

The film will start streaming on Netflix on August 5.
