Akshay Kumar's Kesari Chapter 2 crosses 70 crore mark on day 12

Akshay Kumar's Kesari Chapter 2 has finally crossed the Rs 70 crore mark. According to Sacnilk, the courtroom drama earned Rs 2.5 crore in domestic box office revenue on Day 12. With this, the film's total earnings now stand at Rs 70.65 crore.
The report also indicated that Kesari Chapter 2 had an overall Hindi occupancy of 15.57% on April 29. The morning show attracted 7.48% of the audience, while the afternoon and evening shows drew 14.53% and 16.40%, respectively. Night shows performed marginally better, with an occupancy of 23.88%.
Taran Adarsh, a Bollywood trade expert, released a note on X (previously Twitter) to announce the second Monday box office data for Kesari Chapter 2.
He wrote, "Kesari Chapter 2 is steady on the crucial second Monday, aided by the #BOGO ticket offer. With the #BlockbusterTuesdays initiative – offering tickets starting at just Rs 99 – the film is expected to further boost its business today.”
Highlighting the figures, Taran Adarsh added, "Kesari Chapter 2 [Week 2] Fri Rs 4.05 cr, Sat Rs 7.20 cr, Sun Rs 8.14 cr, Mon Rs 2.65 cr. Total: Rs 68.58 cr. #India biz | Nett BOC | #Boxoffice,” as reported by NDTV.
Kesari Chapter 2 is based on Raghu and Pushpa Palat's book The Case That Shook the Empire. Set against the backdrop of the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre, the film tells the story of C Sankaran Nair's brave legal battle against the British Raj.
The cast is led by Akshay Kumar, who plays Justice Chettur Sankaran Nair. R Madhavan takes on the role of Advocate Neville McKinley, while Ananya Panday plays Dilreet Gill.
The project also includes Regina Cassandra, Simon Paisley Day, and Alexx O'Nell.
Kesari Chapter 2, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, is co-produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films.
