Aishwarya Rajesh shall play the central female character in the upcoming Tamil remake of the Malayalam movie 'The Great Indian Kitchen'. The recently-released movie, directed by Jeo Baby, fired up debates for questioning popularly accepted gender roles. Nimisha Sajayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu starred in the original movie.
The remake will be directed by R Kannan, who did Jayamkondaan, Kanden Kadhalai Settai etc. He bagged the remake rights for 'The Great Indian Kitchen' in both Tamil and Telugu.
