Mumbai: A death threat via letter has been received by actor Swara Bhaskar and a police investigation has been initiated into the matter, PTI reported citing a police official.
The threat letter was written in Hindi and said that the country's youth would not tolerate her insulting Veer Savarkar.
The official said that the threat letter was sent to Bhaskar's Versova residence. The actor approached the Versova police station on receiving the letter two days ago and filed a complaint against unidentified persons, the official informed.
"Based on the complaint, we have registered a non-cognisable offence against unidentified persons," he added, stating that a probe is underway.
