Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is gearing up for an eventful February as he embarks on the shooting schedules for two of his upcoming ventures – "Sitaare Zameen Par" and "Lahore: 1947."

Commencing on February 2, Aamir Khan will step into his own acting project, "Sitaare Zameen Par," a social dramedy in collaboration with RS Prasanna.

The film has already generated buzz with the announcement of Genelia D’Souza (Deshmukh) as the female lead. Sources close to the development reveal that Aamir Khan, after thorough preparation and script readings, is all set for an extensive shooting schedule spanning 70 to 80 working days, reported Pinkvilla.

The film is expected to be one of Aamir's fastest deliveries to the audience, with considerable pre-production efforts invested.

Simultaneously, Aamir Khan's production venture, "Lahore: 1947," featuring Sunny Deol and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, will kick off on February 12, 2024.

Described as a partition drama, the film holds personal significance for Aamir, who has been actively involved in ensuring the script resonates emotionally with the audience. The sets to recreate the partition-era ambience are already under construction in Mumbai, signifying the attention to detail for this historical drama.

The collaboration between Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol in "Lahore: 1947" marks a reunion after a substantial hiatus. While speculations hint at Aamir making a guest appearance in the film, confirmation is yet to be received.

Interestingly, Aamir Khan Productions is set to have multiple films in production simultaneously, a rare occurrence for the banner.

Apart from these two films, Aamir Khan Productions has "Lapata Ladies" directed by Kiran Rao and the Sanjay Mishra-starrer "Pritam Pyaare" slated for release in the first half of 2024.

"Sitaare Zameen Par" has already been slated for a Christmas 2024 release, while the release date for "Lahore: 1947" remains undisclosed for now.
