Aaliya, Nawazuddin Siddiqui's ex-wife shares pic with friend: "Don't I have the right to be happy"

Aaliya Siddiqui, the ex-wife of actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, shared a photo with a pal on Monday to introduce them to her Instagram followers. The actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his ex-wife Aaliya Siddiqui have been in the news for a while now because of their tense relationship. In her post, Aaliya wrote, "It has taken over 19 years to get out of the relationship that I treasured. But in my life, my children are my priority, they were always and they will be." She added, "However, there are few relationships that are bigger than and beyond friendship, and this relationship is the same relationship and I am very happy about the same hence shared my happiness with you all. Don't I have the right to be happy?"

At the time of their divorce, Aaliya had earlier charged the star and his family with harassment. In March of this year, Aaliya alleged that the star had thrown her and their two kids out of his home. Earlier, the Bombay High Court had advised them to settle their disputes peacefully. Having a son and a daughter, Nawazuddin and Aaliya are parents to two kids.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui had earlier given the settlement draft to Aaliya's lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee. The settlement had come days after a defamation suit was filed against Aaliya. Several of the social media posts Aaliya actively shared about her personal life have now been erased.
