The child prodigy, Chryseis Knight's book 'The Great Big Lion' has been released in India under Penguin Random House India's 'Puffin' imprint.

She wrote the book at the age of three and became one of the youngest authors in the world. 'The Great Big Lion' is a story of two children and a lion. Major themes mentioned in the book are friendship, inclusivity, developing empathy, and wildlife conservation.

She learnt to read at the age of one and started writing the story in her notebook after two years. When her parents read the story, they decided to create illustrations and get the book published. 'The Great Big Lion' was first published in the West independently.

ArpitaNath, commissioning editor, Penguin Random House said that Knight's books have an endearing quality and it resonates with children. She added that the publishing house is "tremendously excited that we are publishing this unique book that was written and illustrated by Chryseis when she was merely three. She's exceptionally gifted and we look forward to her writing career as she grows up," added Nath.

Knight lives in Canada and is seven years old now. She hopes to inspire children around the world to embrace the magic in books.

The young author was inducted to Mensa, the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world, at the age of two for her linguistic talents.
