The police had earlier found out that the message was sent from a SIM registered in the name of one Sainaba, a resident of Ambalapara in Ottapalam near here. However, she informed the police that she had lost phone some days ago.
It was on Friday one Sajesh Kumar at Kunnamkulam got the message on his mobile phone threatening that an attempt would be made on the Chief Minister’s life. Following the incident, security was tightened for Vijayan.
The Chief Minister was on Friday in Palakkad, a neighbouring district of Thrissur, in connection with the CPI-M district conference.
