Rs 198 price reduction for commercial LPG; ATF rate remains unchanged
text_fieldsNEW DELHI: Given the lowering international rates, the price of commercial LPG that is used in hotels, restaurants and other businesses was reduced by Rs 198 per 19 kg cylinder on Friday.
According to the state-owned fuel retailers' price notification, in Delhi, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder used to cost Rs 2,219 but now it has been reduced to Rs 2,021.
This is the second rate cut in a month. In June, the price was reduced by Rs 135 per 19 kg bottle. Meanwhile, Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices remained unchanged, PTI reported.
Rates in the national capital remain at an all-time high of Rs 141,232.87 per kiloliter (Rs 141.23 per litre).
The rate of commercial LPG is revised on the 1st of every month, while the price of ATF is updated twice a month - on the 1st and 16th on the basis of the average international prices and currency exchange rates of the last two weeks.
Meanwhile, no reason has been given by the oil companies for not changing the price of ATF.
