Richest Indians in 2025: Mukesh Ambani beats Gautam Adani to reclaim top spot

New Delhi: The 14th edition of the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025 has placed Mukesh Ambani and his family as India’s richest, with a net worth of Rs 9.55 lakh crore.
Published by M3M India in collaboration with the Hurun Research Institute, the report has Gautam Adani and family close on the heel of Ambani family with a staggering Rs 8.14 lakh crore.
This makes it clear that two industrial giants are vying at the top spot in India’s wealth rankings, while many new entrants also found place in the list.
In the 2024 report Gautam Adani had overtaken Mukesh Ambani to be the India’s richest individual amassing Rs 11 lakh crore against Ambani’s Rs 10 lakh crore.
However, both industrialists suffered a decline in their wealth this year just as Ambani regained his position.
Amassing a net worth of Rs 2.84 lakh crore Roshni Nadar Malhotra and family have made it to the top three for the first time alongside being the wealthiest woman in India.
The total number of India’s billionaires crossed 350, six times more than those in the list that came out 13 years ago, amassing a total of 167 lakh crore, almost half of India’s total GDP.
Of young entrepreneurs, 31-year-old Aravind Srinivas, who is the founder of Perplexity, is now India’s youngest billionaire with a fortune of Rs 21,190 crore.
Kaivalya Vohra, aged 22, co-founder of Zepto, is the youngest individual on the list with his business partner Aadit Palicha, 23 being the second youngest billionaire.
Actor Shah Rukh Khan has made it to the list with a staggering net worth of $1.4 billion ( ₹12490 crore) after spending 33 years in the film industry.
Alongside being the India's richest actor, Khan is ahead of many global stars in wealth.
