Malappuram’s largest mall: HiLITE Centre set to revolutionize shopping in Nilambur

Malappuram: HiLITE Group, a pioneer in Kerala's retail revolution, is set to launch 'HiLITE Centre' in Nilambur, which will be the largest mall in the Malappuram district.

This will be HiLITE's second mall in Malappuram, with construction of 'HiLITE Countryside' in Chemmad also progressing rapidly.

Today, HiLITE is avidly pursuing its grand vision of bringing international shopping experiences to towns and cities across Kerala. As part of this movement, it is expanding into Nilambur, allowing local shoppers to enjoy a shopping experience on par with the best.

HiLITE Group's brainchild, 'Focus Mall,' was the first mall in Kerala. The notable success of Focus Mall paved the way for HiLITE Mall Kozhikode, standing as the premier shopping destination in the state, and attracting millions of visitors. The mall boasts a diverse range of national and international brands, a spacious food court, and the state-of-the-art Palaxi Cinemas multiplex theatre, making it a standout venue for shopping and entertainment.

Following the launches of HiLITE Mall Thrissur, HiLITE Countryside Chemmad, HiLITE Centre Mannarkkad, and HiLITE Boulevard Kochi, HiLITE Centre Nilambur will be the seventh addition to their growing mall series. The construction inauguration of HiLITE Centre Nilambur will be held on September 1 at 10 a.m.

The other retail enterprises from the HiLITE Group are set to bring a 'never before’ retail experience to Kerala. HiLITE Mall Thrissur, set to open soon in Thrissur, has been designed to be the largest mall in the district. Located between NH 47 and SH 22 in Kuttanellur, Thrissur's primary commercial area, the mall will offer a range of premium attractions. These include Lulu Hypermarket, a curated selection of Indian lifestyle brands, over 100 international brand stores, cutting-edge multiplex cinemas, and an expansive food court.

The construction of HiLITE Boulevard on Kochi’s Willingdon Island is nearing completion. The waterfront shopping zone, spanning 1.5 lakh sq ft, is being developed to offer a premier shopping experience on the island.

Malls are categorized based on their locations, such as big cities, medium-sized cities, and small towns. In medium-sized cities like Nilambur, the malls are called 'HiLITE Centre,' while in small towns like Chemmad where HiLITE is constructing a mall that will offer a quality, global shopping experience, they are called 'HiLITE Countryside.'

The HiLITE Centre in Nilambur is set to become the district's largest mall, spanning 8.65 acres. With a built-up area of 7.15 lakh sq ft, it will offer a 45,000 sq ft hypermarket, the renowned five-screen Palaxi Cinemas, a 30,000 sq ft entertainment zone, and a 1,500-seat banquet hall. Additionally, the mall will have parking facilities to accommodate approximately 850 vehicles.

Nilambur's strategic location as a mobility hub connecting Kerala with Ooty, Mysore, and Bangalore enhances the significance of the HiLITE Centre.

“Customers will experience international shopping in tier two and tier three cities of the state. In addition to promoting socio-economic growth, global-Indian lifestyle brands will become part of Nilambur," said Group Chairman P. Sulaiman.
