New Delhi: Commercial users of cooking gas are set to begin the new year with bad news. Oil marketing companies have hiked the price of cooking gas for commercial use by Rs 17 per cylinder.
Price of LPG for domestic use has however been spared this. The price of a 14.2-kg gas cylinder sold for domestic use, without subsidy remains Rs 694 in Delhi and in Chennai it costs Rs 710 per cylinder.
As per the decision,the price of a 19 kg cylinder for commercial consumption in Delhi will go up to Rs 1,349 in Delhi, Rs 1,410 in Kolkata and Rs 1,463.50 in Chennai .
Price of LPG for domestic use had been increased twice during December amounting to Rs 100 hike per cylinder.
