Kuwait bans its citizens from travelling abroad without vaccination

Kuwait City: Kuwait's citizens who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 are banned from travelling abroad from Saturday, May 22, as reported by state news agency Kuna on Monday.

However, the Kuwait government announced that pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding and children under 16 are exempted from the curb.

Meanwhile, the ban on the entry of expatriates into Kuwait will continue until further notice as per a decision issued by the Kuwaiti Cabinet on Monday.

The government has also decided to extend the partial curfew, running from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. local time, until the end of Ramadan, in an attempt to contain the virus.

To date, Kuwait has reported 277,832 coronavirus cases and 1,590 deaths.
