Kuwait condemns settler raid on Al-Aqsa, warns of rising tensions

Kuwait has strongly condemned the entry of extremist settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, describing the incident as a grave violation of holy sites that could heighten regional tensions.

In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically rejected continuing attempts to alter the legal and historical status quo of Jerusalem and its holy sites.

The ministry called on the international community to fulfil its legal and moral responsibilities by acting to end what it described as systematic violations.

It also urged international action to protect the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and preserve it as a place of worship for Muslims alone.

The statement reiterated Kuwait’s firm support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, particularly the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
