Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), commended the organisation's remarkable efforts during the Year of Sustainability. He praised the ERC for bolstering the UAE's growing role in supporting global humanitarian and development initiatives and mitigating the impact of disasters and crises worldwide.
Expressing his admiration for the UAE's solidarity message under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that this reflects the nation's vision in promoting values of generosity, benevolence, and human solidarity.
He was speaking at Sheikh Hamdan's chairmanship of the ERC's Board of Directors meeting at the organisation's headquarters in Abu Dhabi. He lauded the ERC's pioneering role in the realms of development and humanitarian work, including its efforts to provide relief and shelter to those affected by conflicts and disasters.
Sheikh Hamdan underscored the ongoing initiatives of the ERC in various fields, highlighting the pivotal role played by the Board of Directors in guiding the authority towards enhanced performance and continuous improvement.
Prior to the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, alongside Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, met with a group of distinguished ERC employees and volunteers. They presented their innovative initiatives and ideas that have contributed to the advancement of the organisation's work and activities.
