Registration opened on Monday, July 13, and researchers can submit their papers until October 11.
The award covers several fields linked to modern security work, including artificial intelligence, cybercrime, criminal investigations, community security, disaster management and future security foresight.
Winners will be announced from December 7 to 10. First-place winners in each category will receive Dh50,000, while second and third-place winners will receive Dh15,000 and Dh10,000 respectively.
Research papers that pass the initial evaluation stage and are approved for publication will receive a Dh5,000 incentive. Once the publication reward is approved and received, intellectual property rights will be transferred to the academy.
The award was announced during a press conference at the academy’s headquarters.
Major General Dr Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani, Director of the Sharjah Academy for Police Sciences, said the award has become an important scientific platform attracting researchers from the UAE, the Arab world and other countries.
