Dubai domestic worker platform wins government digital service award

Dubai’s General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs has won the “Best Digital City Experience” award under the Hamdan bin Mohammed Program for Government Services for its Domestic Worker Management initiative.

The award recognises the directorate’s work in redesigning domestic worker services through a fully digital journey that brings together several government and institutional partners.

Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, said the achievement reflects a long-term effort to improve customer services through simpler procedures, greater trust and faster delivery.

He credited the success to the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, saying Dubai’s government model is built around anticipating future needs and designing services that improve people’s lives.

Al Marri also thanked Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, for his support in developing government services and strengthening Dubai’s position in digital service delivery.

He said the initiative was made possible through close work with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Dubai Health, Digital Dubai and Dubai Insurance.

According to Al Marri, the cooperation between these entities helped turn the domestic worker recruitment process into a connected digital service and created a model for future government service delivery.

He said GDRFA Dubai will continue working on service development and digital integration that delivers direct value to the community.

Al Marri congratulated GDRFA employees and partner organisations involved in the project, saying the award reflects the spirit of “One Team” and shows how shared goals and cooperation can raise the quality of government services in Dubai.
