Dubai’s Palm Monorail has resumed services after being closed for six months for maintenance work, bringing back the main public transport link across Palm Jumeirah.
The operator announced the reopening on social media, saying, “The Palm Monorail is open! Hop on and enjoy the ride across Palm Jumeirah".
Passengers can now book tickets through the monorail’s website and official sales channels.
Services were suspended in January while station maintenance works were carried out. During the closure, residents and visitors were advised to use the Roads and Transport Authority’s Hala Taxi service for journeys around Palm Jumeirah.
The 5.5km Palm Monorail is the only public transport system operating on the island. It connects Palm Gateway, Al Ittihad Park, Nakheel Mall and Atlantis Aquaventure, giving passengers access to major attractions while offering views across the Palm.
One-way fares start from Dh5, while round-trip tickets start from Dh10.
