Kuwait authorities reported multiple attacks targeting key infrastructure, including an energy facility, ports and airport fuel depots, with officials confirming casualties in one incident and material damage in others.
The Cabinet condemned a strike on a service building at a power generation and water desalination plant that led to the death of an Indian worker. It also cited damage from cruise missile and drone attacks on Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Shuwaikh Ports, where no injuries were reported.
Ministers were also briefed by Oil Minister Tarek Al-Roumi on an incident involving a Kuwaiti tanker targeted while in the United Arab Emirates, outside Dubai’s port.
Separately, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation said a drone strike hit fuel storage facilities at Kuwait International Airport, causing a large fire. Officials said the damage affected tanks operated by the Kuwait Aviation Fueling Company.
Authorities confirmed that no casualties were recorded in the airport incident. Emergency teams were deployed immediately to contain the fire and secure the site.
