Kuwait’s Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah inspected preparations at Kuwait International Airport as authorities move toward resuming operations.
He was accompanied by Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and President of the Public Authority of Civil Aviation Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah.
During the visit, officials briefed the prime minister on reopening plans and measures aimed at ensuring smooth operations. The briefing covered the readiness of facilities, safety and security systems and precautionary procedures.
Sheikh Ahmad also toured several sections of the airport, including departure and arrival halls, customs inspection areas, baggage handling systems and operational and technical support units. He reviewed preparations related to runways and ground services.
The prime minister stressed the need for full coordination among all relevant entities to ensure the airport meets approved operational plans and supports the country’s air transport sector.
He praised the efforts of national and technical teams involved in preparing the airport and facilitating the return of air traffic following its suspension due to exceptional circumstances.
