Gulbarga boy scores a perfect 600/600 in Karnataka PUC exam

Gulbarga: Mateen Jamadar, a proud son of a mason from Mannur village in Gulbarga district has topped the Karnataka's PUC (pre university course) examination by scoring a perfect 600/600.

The results of the exam were announced on Friday, July 23, 2021.

Mateen's father Nabisaab works as a mason on construction sites in the village, earning about Rs 500 a day while his mother Razia Begum cleans her neighbour's field all day to earn Rs 150/day.

However, despite the financial constraints both parents were determined to provide their three sons with best education.

Though the eldest son has go give up his studies after Class 10 due to an  eye affliction which made him handicapped, second son is working as a  constable in Bengaluru.

Mother Razia Begum recalls that Mateen was always a brilliant student and used to sit at home and readaround.

"No playing, no roaming around" she said.

Mateen become village school topper in his Class 10 Boards scoring a 619 out of 625.

Growing up, Mateen wants to appear for UPSC examination and become a civil servant.
