2 Delhi schools furnish fake documents to obtain CBSE affiliation

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) informed on Tuesday that two schools in Delhi furnished fake land documents to gather their affiliation. The Board also added that they had been reported to the police, PTI reported, citing a board official’s account.

The two schools were identified as Manava Bhawna Public School in Burari and Sat Saheb Public School in Uttam Nagar.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Secretary Himanshu Gupta said, "While considering the applications, the board conducts a very strict scrutiny of the essential documents submitted by the schools and, in order to establish the genuineness, the documents are also verified from the issuing authority.”

"During scrutiny of land certificates of two schools -- Manava Bhawna Public School, Nathupura Main Road, Burari, and Sat Saheb Public School, 101, C-Block, Som Bazar, Nanhey Park, Uttam Nagar -- the board sent them for verification by the issuing authorities and it was found that the land certificates have not been issued by the concerned authorities and the schools have submitted fake or forged land certificates," he added.

Gupta informed us that the Board had filed a police complaint for necessary legal action against these schools, according to law. The complaint has been filed with the Preet Vihar Police Station.

CBSE grants affiliation on fulfilment of mandatory and other conditions for affiliation as provided in the Board's Affiliation Bye-Laws, 2018. While considering the applications, the Board conducts a very strict scrutiny of the essential documents submitted by the schools, and in order to establish the genuineness, the documents are also verified by the issuing authority, The Indian Express reported.
