Helicopter tourism takes off in Hyderabad from April 9

Hyderabad: Helicopter tourism services linking Hyderabad, Somasila, and Srisailam will launch on Thursday, April 9, promising tourists a thrilling aerial adventure.

Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao announced that the service offers stunning bird's-eye views of the Krishna River and the lush Nallamala forest. He recently inspected the helipad construction and preparations at Somasila.

The day trip starts from Hyderabad, landing first at Somasila for scenic backwaters, boating, and temple visits. From there, it proceeds to the Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam before returning the same day. Private aviation firms will operate the service.

The government plans to expand similar routes to hotspots like Nagarjuna Sagar, Ramappa Temple, and Nizam Sagar.
