Sheezan Khan has faith in the judiciary, says his lawyer

Palghar: Tunisha Sharma’s co-actor and former boyfriend Sheezan Khan's lawyer said that he has faith in the judiciary. He is arrested for allegedly abetting her suicide.

Advocate Shailendra Mishra said his client is innocent. "Sheezan Khan before being presented to the Vasai court met his family. He spoke to us and said that he has faith in the judiciary," reported ANI.

Khan's team is set to file the first bail application in connection to the case in court on Monday. "We have applied for some certified documents related to the case. It will be okay if we get it by today. If not, then we will file the first bail application on Monday morning."

On Saturday, Khan was presented in the Vasai court which sent him to 14-day judicial custody.

When asked about Khan having a secret girlfriend and him cheating on Tunisha which led to her suicide, Mishra said: "Wait till Monday. I need to come publicly with his family because various types of baseless allegations are floating."

Mishra also submitted four applications on behalf of Khan seeking permission to get home-cooked food in jail, to use an inhaler for asthma, and to allow visits from family members and lawyers. He also sought permission to not cut his hair in custody presumably because it is important for his role in the TV show.

The police said Khan was not cooperating with the investigation and kept changing statements about his "secret girlfriend". Investigators think that he used to talk to several women. "Many important chats have been found on the mobile of the accused during the investigation which has revealed that the accused started avoiding Tunisha after the breakup. Tunisha used to message him repeatedly, but the accused avoided her by not replying to her," said an official.
