Mumbai: Television actor Tunisha Sharma was found hanging in her green room. It is alleged that she died by suicide.
The 20-year-old went to the washroom on the set in Vasai and did not return for a long time. When the crew broke down the door, she was found hanging. The people on the set took her to a hospital where she was declared dead, reported NDTV.
Senior inspector Kailash Barve of Valiv police station said the team is investigating all angles.
Tunisha began her career as a child actress in the Sony TV show 'Maharana Pratap' in which she essayed the role of Chand Kanwar. Today, she is popular for playing the lead in 'Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul'. Her character is named Shehzaadi Mariam. She also played Katrina Kaif's younger version in Fitoor. The actress has one million followers on Instagram.
Hours before her death, she posted a photo from the set and captioned it: "Those who are driven by their Passion Doesn't stop."
Some sources told India Today that she was in her co-star Sheezan Mohammed Khan’s make-up room. When he returned, the room was locked from the inside and Tunisha did not open it despite repeated calls. It was then broken open by the crew.
