Mumbai: TV actress Tunisha Sharma, who allegedly committed suicide at sets in Vasai here, was admitted to hospital after a panic attack a week before her death, police were told by her mother, NDTV reported.
Doctors told her then that the actress's condition was not good.
Police had arrested her ex-boyfriend, co-actor Sheezan Mohammad Khan, who had broken up with her 15 days before her death, on charges of abetment of suicide.
According to her mother, the couple were having a relationship, which she learnt from Tunisha. She had told her that Sheezan's parents were fond of her too. But recently, the actress came home crying and told her mother that Sheezan had broken up with her.
The mother further said in her statement to police that Tunisha kept telling her that she should talk with Sheezan, and meant the relationship between them, and she went to meet the man last Friday at the shooting location. In front of Tunisha, Sheezan said that she does not love her mother said.
The very next day, Tunisha died, and her mother accused Sheezan of pushing the actress to the verge and taking an extreme step. She demanded action against the man.
The mother further alleged that Sheezan cheated on her daughter, keeping a parallel relationship with another person while Tunisha and he were together. She alleged that he had "used" Tunisha for months.
Meanwhile, Sheezan informed police that she ended the relationship because of the "disturbed atmosphere" the country has now after the gruesome murder of Shraddha Walkar, ANI reported.
Sheezan claimed that Tunisha had attempted suicide earlier, too, and he "saved her". He had warned her mother, advising her to pay special attention towards her, NDTV reported.
