The Comic-Con may be the most important announcement season for Marvel fans and the studio has not disappointed this year. Marvel shared the release schedule for phase 5 and treated the audience to some hints for phase 6.
The much-anticipated title Anthony Mackie's Captain America: New World Order will arrive on May 3, 2024.
Marvel is starting Phase 5 of the MCU with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania on February 17, 2023. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 hits theatres on May 5, 2023, and The Marvels will be released on July 28, 2023.
On top of that, Emilia Clarke's Secret Invasion will start streaming on Disney+ in the spring of 2023. However, Echo and Loki Season 2 are slated for the summer of 2022. The OTT releases are clearly a huge part of MCU's future. Blade is slated for a November 3, 2023 release. And Agatha Harkness: Coven of Chaos will start streaming in 2023 or 2024. Daredevil: Born Again will be released in the spring of 2024.
Thunderbolts is the last movie in Phase 5 and it will hit screens on July 26, 2024.
Phase 6 seems to have several interesting projects including Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (May 2, 2025) and Avengers: Secret Wars (November 7, 2025).
Upcoming Marvel show She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has already impressed fans with a fun trailer that revealed key details about lead character Jennifer Walters played by Tatiana Malsany. It was already known that she received superpowers by accident and is trying to live a normal life while being trained by her cousin Bruce Banner.
The new trailer released at the Comic-Con, however, is creating buzz for a different reason. Daredevil played by Charlie Cox was seen in action wearing a yellow and red suit. Considering the upcoming release of his 18-episode show in 2024, fans are eager to know he is part of She-Hulk's story.
The new trailer also indicates that Maslany's Hulk is better than Bruce Banner's Hulk played by Mark Ruffalo. She appears to be stronger and more in control of her powers. Sorcerer Wong also makes an appearance in the trailer.
She-Hulk will start streaming on 17 August 2022.
Marvel also released the first trailer of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. After the death of Chadwick Boseman who played king T'Challa in the Black Panther film, fans are eager to know the studio will carry his legacy forward.
The first Black Panther film was hailed for breaking racial stereotypes. It was the first big-budget superhero film with a majority Black cast and crew. The plot also paid sincere tribute to African culture.
In the sequel's trailer, Shuri and Queen Ramonda among other characters were seen mourning their fallen king. The Graffiti of King T'Challa was also seen in the streets of Wakanda as a tribute to the character as well as the actor. The face of the next Black Panther was not revealed.
The action-packed trailer looks entirely in tune with the ethos of the first movie. The nations seem to be fighting world powers trying to intervene.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will hit screens on 11 November 2022.
