New Delhi: The Citygroup has fired an employee for anti-Semitic comments on social media supporting Hitler’s excesses during Holocaust.

Nozima Husainova, a Citi personal banker, reportedly on social media attacked Israel over Gaza hospital bombing.

‘No wonder why Hitler wanted to get rid of all of them," her post read, which quickly invited ‘widespread criticism’ after the nonpartisan group Stop AntiSemitism shared its screenshot on X, according to the report.

The group asked the bank ‘Is this vile antisemite to your employee @Citi?’

Taking note of the incident, Citigroup responded that they would be taking disciplinary action.

Later the group confirmed that they had fired the employee alongside condemning anti-Semitism.

‘We terminated the employment of the person who posted the revolting antisemitic comment on social media. We condemn antisemitism and all hate speech and do not tolerate it in our bank,’ authorities reportedly said.

Nozima Husainova responded to the bank, saying "Thank you @Citi for saying NO! to antisemitism".

Many on social media were appreciative of the quick action with one saying, ‘Well done. We must appreciate Citi for swift action.’
