Australian MP claims she was drugged, sexually assaulted during night out

Queensland / Australia: The Australian police are investigating the complaint by an MP that she was sexually assaulted during a night out.
Following the attack, Brittany Lauga, representing constituency Yeppoon and assistant minister for health, went to the police and afterwards to the hospital on April 28, The Telegraph reported.
The 37-year-old said: ‘This could have happened to anyone and tragically, it does happen to many of us.’
In her Instagram post she said "Tests at the hospital confirmed the presence of drugs in my body which I did not take.’
Lauga claimed that the drug impacted her greatly, adding that ‘It's not OK. We should be able to enjoy socialising in our town without the risk of being drugged or assaulted’.
The Queensland Police Service reportedly said that investigation is underway over the complaint, adding no other reports in the same area have been made. Calling the incident ‘ shocking’ and ‘horrifying’, Queensland Housing Minister Meaghan Scanlon said: "Brittany is a colleague, a friend, a young woman in the Queensland parliament and these are really shocking things to read.’
