In a recent meeting of state home ministers and top police officials organized by the Union Home Ministry, Amit Shah, while pointing out several crimes being committed in the country, also mentioned that there should be a common law and order policy for the states. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also put forward the idea of one nation, one uniform - all carrying an undertone of intolerance towards diversity among states.
