Indian shooters Elavenil Valarivan and Sandeep Singh expressed their reflections after missing the finals in the 10m air rifle mixed team event at the Paris Olympics.

Despite their efforts, the duo finished in 12th place, scoring a total of 626.3 points, with Elavenil contributing 312.6 points and Sandeep 313.7 points.

Elavenil Valarivan shared her thoughts post-competition, emphasizing her commitment to giving her best performance. "I felt I gave my 100 percent, which is what matters to me," she stated. "The results could have been different, but regardless, I have no regrets as I gave my all."

She also mentioned that she has identified areas for improvement and plans to work on them with her coaches.

Sandeep Singh echoed similar sentiments, highlighting his effort during the qualifiers. "I tried to give my best during the qualification round and followed my process," he said, acknowledging the difference between effort and outcome.

India's shooting team head coach, Suma Shirur, commented on the team's overall performance, noting that another Indian team narrowly missed the bronze medal play-off by just one point, finishing sixth. "We have full faith in our athletes," she remarked, expressing confidence in their potential for upcoming events. "Today is just day one, and I am sure the shooters will learn from this experience and improve in the next competitions."

In the competition, Germany will face Kazakhstan, represented by Le Alexandra and Satpayev Islam, in the bronze medal match. Kazakhstan secured the third position with a score of 630.8 points.

The gold medal match will see defending champions China, who scored 632.2 points, competing against South Korea, who finished with 631.4 points.
